Yeah this is just a quick one.  With the temps soaring into the 100’s all last week, the tomatoes grew a lot, but a lot of that growth was leggy.  So several of the plants fell over.  Today was trying yet another method to keep the tomatoes growing up for as long as possible.  Let’s hope it works.

  1. Hi 6ft or longer rebar for tomatoes works great! get some green garden twine I prefer the vinyl stretch type and tie them loosely to it no more drooping tomatoes. Make a loop in the twine loop ends thru to put on tomato and tie other end on rebar.

    • I wanted to do either rebar or a trellis-like structure this year- but the fiance suggested that I find whatever I had around the yard and use that this year.

It hasn’t worked out well. =)

But also, I have a HORRIBLE case of fusarium wilt this year. Any suggestions?
